How to setup Cow in the Shaft - Public Beta apk for android
- For Android 4.0 or higher:Please to Settings, look down to Security, and select Unknown sources. Choosing this choice will enable to install apps download from the internet.
- For devices running on lower Android 4.0:
Please go to Settings - open the Applications option, and select Unknown sources, click OK on the popup alert.
Cow in the Shaft - Public Beta Description
This is the beta version of the game "Cow in the Shaft", which is also available here.* Please note that beta versions may still have bugs and/or could crash. *
Changes in 1.2.9 (this version):
- Multiplayer mode with Peer-to-Peer networking.
- Up to 100% higher FPS.
- XP System
- Upgrades, including larger stack size for specials, auto-parachute, resistance to damage etc.
- Joystick scales to your devices size (good for tablets and large devices).
- Elevator platforms can go up now as well.
- Platforms horizontal distribution method changed for more exciting gameplay.
- Loading is faster now.
- After taking damage from a red platform, the cow will be immune to any other damage for a short period of time.
- The cows immunity is indicated by flashing it.
- Damage is now indicated by a red flash around the screens border.
- The background is darker now and looks more like a shaft.
- Support for small screen sizes (i.e. 320x480) has been improved.

Changes in 1.2.8
- At the start of the game you may now choose between a Bomb-, a Medpack- or a Bullet-Time-Special Item.
- Performance is much better now. The rendering is now done by the GPU, which is a lot faster. I hope that it will work well on your device. Please send feedback if you encounter any issues.
- More graphical effects (i.e. the background is moving)
- Small changes in Physics and Balancing.
- The icon of the beta is red now.
Changes in 1.2.7
- The game gets faster now.
- 25 levels for each difficulty.
- Joystick adjusts its position, so that you can use it anywhere on the screen.
- The Cow can now jump a little. So far for Joystick controls only, but a update for the Buttons will come.
- Collect hearts to gain health.
- Integrated background music.
- Added more sound FX.
- Main Menu shows your top ranking in each highscore list.
- No more Ads during gameplay.
- Updated graphics.
- A special item can now be collected while a special item is used.
- The bomb will destroy the platform that you are standing on now, instead of falling through.

KNOWN ISSUES:
This is a beta, so it's not perfect, here are a few things I'm aware of:
- The Post-to-Facebook feature requires your account to be in the CITS developer program. If you like to test this feature please contact me.
- The Facebook-login is not cancelable at the moment.
- Sometimes the rail of the elevator platform is too long.
- On screens with a rather narrow aspect ratio (i.e. 4:3) the lower buttons may overlay the texts "Controls" and "Sounds" in the main menu.
- The description of the upgrades could be hard to read.
- The effect of the upgrades may be imbalanced. Any feedback regarding this is highly welcome.
